BRAKE MAINTENANCE
Safe cycling depends on functional brakes. Maintenance includes checking for pad wear, ensuring the pads are centered on the rim or rotor, and adjusting cable tension to maintain a crisp feel at the lever. For hydraulic brakes, maintenance also includes periodic fluid replacement (bleeding).
