TRAFFIC RULES
According to the Highway Traffic Law, a bicycle is a legal vehicle, and cyclists have the same rights and responsibilities as drivers of motorized vehicles. This includes obeying traffic signals, riding in the same direction as traffic, and signaling turns. Cyclists are prohibited from riding on sidewalks unless specifically designated, and they should use bicycle paths where available.
