PUNCTURE PREVENTIVE STRIP
A puncture preventive strip (tire liner) is a strip of tough, puncture-resistant material that is placed inside the tire, between the inner tube and the tread area. It acts as a physical barrier against sharp objects like thorns and glass shards that penetrate the tire.
While effective, they can add some weight to the wheel and must be installed correctly to prevent them from rubbing against and causing wear on the inner tube.
