LIMIT SCREW ADJUSTMENT
Limit screw adjustments define the upper and lower boundaries of the travel of the front and rear derailleurs. Proper adjustment is crucial to prevent the chain from falling off the cassette into the spokes or the frame.
There are typically two screws labeled 'H' (High) and 'L' (Low):
- H Screw: Sets the outer limit, preventing the chain from shifting past the smallest cog.
- L Screw: Sets the inner limit, preventing the chain from shifting past the largest cog and into the spokes.
