GRAVEL BICYCLE
A gravel bicycle (also called an adventure bike or all-road bike) is a type of bicycle designed to handle a wide variety of terrain, from smooth tarmac to dirt roads, gravel tracks, and light off-road paths. It bridges the gap between a road bicycle and a mountain bike.
Key features include drop handlebars (like a road bike), wider tire clearance (typically 38-50mm tires), a more relaxed geometry than a race road bike for comfort on long journeys, and mounting points for racks and fenders. Most modern gravel bikes use disc brakes.
Gravel bikes have become extremely popular for bikepacking, long-distance touring, and exploring mixed-terrain routes.
