Direct pressure is applied to the wound. If bleeding does not stop, continue by placing a second cloth. If necessary, a bandage is applied without removing the cloths.
In bleeding that cannot be stopped, pressure is applied from the nearest pressure point; a tourniquet is not applied. (A tourniquet can only be applied in limb amputations, if one remains helpless at the end of all bleeding control application steps) Medical help is requested (112).
In arm and leg bleeding, if there is no suspicion of fracture, the bleeding area is raised above heart level.

First Aid for Ear Bleeding

Serious bleeding may be a symptom of brain hemorrhage. Medical help is requested (112).
The casualty is laid on their side onto the bleeding ear, remaining motionless.
