DISC RUB
Disc rub is when the brake rotor continuously or intermittently rubs against the brake pads inside the caliper, even when the brake lever is not engaged. It produces a persistent rubbing or ticking sound while riding and can slow the wheel rotation.
Common causes include a bent rotor, a misaligned caliper, or pad contamination. The fix usually involves re-centering the caliper over the rotor by loosening the caliper mounting bolts and gently repositioning it, then re-tightening while squeezing the brake lever.
