CYCLOCROSS BICYCLE
A cyclocross bicycle is designed for cyclocross racing—a form of bicycle racing held on a short, mixed-terrain course that requires riders to dismount and carry their bicycle over obstacles. Courses typically feature a mix of grass, mud, sand, gravel, and short run-up sections.
Cyclocross bikes look similar to road bikes with drop handlebars but have a more relaxed geometry, much wider tire clearance (for 33-35mm knobby tires), and cantilever or disc brakes for better mud clearance. The frame geometry allows for shouldering the bike.
Cyclocross bikes have also become popular as a versatile everyday bike for commuting and light adventure riding.
