Chain Wear

CHAIN WEAR

Chain wear (often called "stretch") is the gradual elongation of the chain due to wear on the pins and rollers. A worn chain will cause poor shifting and accelerated wear on the cassette and chainrings. Regular use of a chain checker tool is recommended.
